We are sad to announce that on May 23, 2024, at the age of 98, John F. McCowan of West Dundee, Illinois, born in Evanston, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though John has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia "Gin Lee" Bennett; his brothers, Warren Luoma and Robert "Bob" McCowan; his parents, Ellsworth and Ada; and his niece Whitney L. Jones.
He is survived by: his son Iain; his daughter-in-law Rheanna; and his grandsons, Kelton, Andrew and Tristan McCowan.
