He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard R. and Genevieve C.; and his daughter Renee Lynn. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Stacy Saxton (Ben), James Mellom (Katherine) and Timothy Mellom; his stepdaughters, Becky Russow (Jason) and Kristi Abitua; his grandchildren, Wyatt, Ryder, Colton Saxton, Alexis Daugherty (Colin), Alyssa, Alyson, Tony Russow and Jim; his great grandchildren, Brynlee and Jett; and his sister Lea Mellom (Nick Faklis). He is also survived by family in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many good friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home (504 W Main St, West Dundee, IL 60118). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the River Valley Memorial Gardens (14N580 State Rte 31, Dundee Township, IL 60118).
