He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Helminiak and Wanda Helminiak. He is survived by: his wife Linda Helminiak; his children, Heather Shane (Matthew), Maria Helminiak Hobbs and Eric Heminiak (Sharon); his grandchildren, Margaret, Jessica, Catherine, Elizabeth, Susanna, Monica Shane, Anna, Mary, Ben, Joseph, Timothy, Julia, Stephen and Rebecca Hobbs; and his siblings, Michael Helm, Mary Ann Vargo and Monica McGuire. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
