He is survived by: his wife Yolanda; his children, Araceli Perez (Guadalupe), Felipe Aurioles (Diana), Esther Vasquez (Otilio) and Alejandro Aurioles (Marlene); and his brother Rafael Avalos. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
