It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald E. Metzger (West Chicago, Illinois), who passed away on May 1, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Metzger and Marie Metzger (Hartung); his daughters, Deborah and Sandra; his brother James Metzger; and his siblings-in-law, Virgil Schmidt and Marcy Metzger.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Michael Metzger (Beulah), Donna Edminson (Scott), Sharon Pitts (Paul) and Steven Metzger (Cindy); his grandchildren, Heather Wasielewski (Matthew), Ashley Cocciemiglio (Kevin), Jessica Carter, Katelyn Pitts (Austin Benedetti), Samantha Pitts, Melissa Angiulo (Anthony) and Amanda Metzger; his great grandchildren, Addyson, Chloe, Noah, Charlotte, Layla, Lennox and Braxton; his siblings, Joan Schmidt and Ralph Metzger; and his sisters-in-law, Dee Metzger and Carole Wild. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
