He is survived by: his mother Pearl De Jong; his daughter Kathryn of West Chicago; his siblings, Donald (Marianne), Daniel (Meredith) and Sandra De Jong Gangwer; his nephews, Benjamin, Luke, Daniel, Timothy and Stephen; and his niece Joyanna.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Grace Church of DuPage, De Jong Family Relief Fund.
