She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmie Hughes and Bessie Hughes; and her siblings, Lorenza Hughes Boyd and Melvin Hughes. She is survived by: her siblings, Langston Hughes, Jacqueline Bailey, Sophronia Sharples, Vanessa Santiago (David) and Reginald Hughes; and her nieces and nephews, Myron, Angela, Brandon, Shauna, Andrew, Langston Marcus, Sophronia Ann, Ashton, Stephen, Alyceson, David Julio, Samuel and Starbrian. She is also survived by great nephews and nieces along with other relatives and friends.
