She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul W. Lynch, Sr. and Alma Harper Lynch; her grandparents, Henry, Ella Bell Lynch, George and Luella Harper; her brothers, Lenord Lynch (Janice) and Paul W. Lynch Jr.; her niece Julissa Monae Torres; and her nephew Khalil Mahmood Esaw-El.

She is survived by: her children, Tristan Jiles Wolverton and Briana Wolverton; her grandchildren, Braylon and Brynleigh; her sisters, Dorothy McGee of Indianapolis, IN, Evie Hakeem of Waukegan, IL, Barbara Davis (Johnnie) of Waukegan, IL, Lorinda Lynch of Waukegan, IL, Sherry Lynch of Gurnee, IL and Kendra Davis (Duane) of Forney, TX; and her friends, Michelle Griffin, Shauntel Cunningham (Tamott Wolverton) and Wade.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Waukegan High School (1011 Washington St, Waukegan, IL 60085). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

“Tristan and family - Shaton was the biggest encouragement and mountain mover as my boss/friend to go back to school and begin working on my masters. It was because of her and her willingness and support to work my schedule out to make my classes at night or use the conference room for zoom class when needed. I am a licensed therapist in part today because of her willingness to flex with me - go to bat for me and encourage me! I will miss our spontaneous Starbucks white chocolate mocha moments”
