He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Franklin and Maudie Anderson; his grandparents, Thomas Franklin Sr., Mattie Franklin, Pearl Brown and Boyd Brown; his daughter Tia Franklin-Wills; and his brother Thomas Franklin Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Merna Franklin; his children, Steven Anderson (Marilyn) of Indianapolis, IN, Anthony Franklin Sr. of Gurnee, IL, S. Corey Franklin (Kelley), Leeshun Abrams of North Chicago, IL., Mikki Phillips (Leslie) of Louisville, KY and S. Kelle McKenzie (Gabriel) of Auburn, AL.; his grandchildren, Andrea Franklin, Anthony Franklin Jr., Marquel Franklin, Denzel Franklin, Lillian Franklin, Jordan Franklin, Myles Phillips, MyAna Phillips, Joi McKenzie, Jaxson McKenzie, Shana Anderson, Steven Anderson Jr., Traci Anderson, Staci Green, Christina Anderson, Malachi Anderson, Michelle Edmond, Christy Wills, Kya Abrams and Keeshun Abrams; his sister Francis Lunderman; and his siblings-in-law, Dairry Walker (Lynn) of Oklahoma and Joyce Walker of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
