He was predeceased by: his brother James Kancilja; his parents, Anton Kancilja and Bertie Baruffi; and his pets, Natalie, Angel, Snuggles, Shadow and Sarah.

He is survived by: his fiancée Terri Eckard; his daughter Melissa Johnson; his granddaughters, Caroline Watkins (Tyler) and Madison Pack (Kyle); his great grandchild Aurora Rose Watkins; his siblings, Robert Kancilja and Darlene Benigno; and his pets, Sabrina and Aubrey.
