Marie Jones Obituary

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Marie Jones of Waukegan, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Marie left this world on February 27, 2025 at the age of 68, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin Scheske and Edna Scheske (Marchinowski); her parents-in-law, Clarence Jones and Elsie Jones; her former husband David Jones; and her grandson Daniel Jones.

She is survived by: her children, Michelle Vlies (Kevin), Eric Jones (Sarah) and Dana Ware (Michael); her grandchildren, Hannah, Grace, Charlotte, Evelyn, Ethan and Freyja; her siblings, Donna Warren (Terry), Linda Fornero and James Scheske; her sisters-in-law, Lori Gruenwald (Paul), Jeanne Milewski (Lou) and Jan Slusher (Wayne); and her friend Pam Marsh. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Congdon Funeral Home (3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Congdon & Co Funeral Directors (3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099).
