It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lee Dora Rhyan of Waukegan, Illinois, born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Abell Rhyan and Rosie Rhyan; and her siblings, Abel Rhyan, Tyrone Rhyan, Andrew Rhyan, Effie Wroten (Johnny) and Frances Williams (R. C.).
She is survived by: her daughters, LaDonna Rhyan of Waukegan, IL. and Katrice Rhyan of Bradenton, FL.; her grandchildren, Kalee and Charlize Rhyan; her siblings, Romena "Sandy" Rhyan of Waukegan, IL., Janie "Gina" Norals (Napoleon) of North Chicago, IL, Antoinette Rhyan-Gibbs of Atlanta, GA and Tommy Rhyan (Myra) of Waukegan, IL; her close friends, Linda Shaw and Clinton Robinson; her cousin Qadeera Ataa; her uncle Donald Woods; and her close friends, Robert "Teacher" Davis, Mary "Ceil" Jones-Barnes, Debra Collins and Sophronia Sharples. She is also survived by nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bradshaw and Range Funeral Home (2513 W Dugdale Rd, Waukegan, IL 60085). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
