He is survived by: his mother Michelle Hawkins; his wife Cynthia Lockhart; his daughters, Tamara Boyd of California and Sara Hawkins of Waukegan; his brother Mark Knecht of Zion, IL.; and his grandchildren, Tamar Boyd, William Fillyaw, Imani Hawkins, Samira James, Darrielle Weeks and Derrick Weeks.
