He is survived by: his children, Anthony Cooper (Indiana), Charlena Young of Conyers, GA and Charlesa Young (Washington, DC); his grandchildren, Anthony Jr., Imagine Cooper (Nevada), Brielle and Anastasia Cooper (Indiana); his siblings, Theresa Slater of Waukegan, IL, La Velle Slater (Willie) and Dwayne Slater of North Chicago, IL; his nieces and nephews, Terek Slater (Texas), Willie Dunlap of Zion, IL, Anita Slater of Waukegan, IL, Jo'Nesha Williams of Zion, IL and Sarah Taylor of Zion, IL; his great-nephew Ethan John Scott of Waukegan, IL; his aunts and uncles, Sammie Jenkins (Addie), Boyce Glason (Carla) of Radcliff, KY, Leroy Slater (Carolyn), Evert Glason, Dennis Glason of Little Rock, AR, Augusta Jenkins (Georgia) and Velma Slater-Brewer of Marianna, AR; his fiancé Dee Sigafus of Waukegan, IL; and his close friends, Andre Ephriam (Sharon) of Pensacola, FL and Tony Pignatelli (Judy) of Kenosha, WI.
