He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Samuels and Pearl Samuels of Cicero, Illinois.. He is survived by: his wife Joan Marie Samuels; his daughter Jenni Potts (Jeff) of Prairie Grove; his grandchildren, Mike (Janie) of Gold Canyon, Jeff (Corinne) of Savannah, Georgia., Ashley Hawks (Joe), Brittany Potts, Nick Samuels, Danielle Samuels, Rachel Estrella (Rafa), Troy Samuels (Sabina Ion) and Zach Samuels (Julie); and his great grandchildren, Fin Estrella, Gus Estrella, Cooper Samuels, Lena Samuels, Ashley, Joe, Zach and Julie.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home (235 N Main St, Wauconda, IL 60084). A prayer was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Transfiguration Parish (348 W Mill St, Wauconda, IL 60084).
In lieu of flowers, the family requested that contributions in Sam's name be given to the Wauconda Rescue Association 109 W. Liberty St., Wauconda, IL 60084.
