He is survived by: his wife Nancy Christian; his children, Tracie Schwickrath (Phil) and Mark Sutherland (Cathy); his grandchildren, Ellyn Schwickrath, Alex Schwickrath, Alexi Payne (Jared), Hayley and Calette Sutherland; and his sisters, Patricia Swanson (Fred) and Peggy Lett (Randy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

“Dan was a good friend and empathetic manager while I was at Carter-Hoffmann. I last spoke to him just a few days ago and he mentioned his health issues. I offered my prayers, and did in fact say a prayer. He will be missed by many outside his family. May you Nancy find some comfort in knowing he no longer struggles for breathe. Joe Burns”
