He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Morphis and Lola M. Morphis (Johnston); his wife Thelma A. Ray; his son Billie Glen Morphis; his son-in-law Jeff Gordon; his sisters, Kathleen, Geneva and Virginia; and his close friend Lois Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Gordon of Shelbyville and Donna Roberts (Jerry) of Watson; his grandchildren, Crystal Foreman (Mike), Jeremiah Roberts (Shannon) and Jesse Patnaude (Jeremy); his great grandchildren, Greyson Foreman, Rowyn Foreman, Kameron Roberts, Hadley Roberts, Brooklyn Roberts, Brady Patnaude and Miles Patnaude; and his brothers, Owen Morphis (Bonnie) and Hugh Morphis. He is also survived by 3 step-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren.
