She was predeceased by: her parents, Coral Mabbitt and Lillian Mabbitt (Lantz); her husband Melvin Thomas; her siblings, James, Benny, Wilma and Gwendavere; her daughter Julia Marie; her daughter-in-law Myrna; her grandson Elliott; and her great grandchild Boston.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Tomai (Elbert) of Honolulu, HI, Diana Ross (John) of Bradley, IL, Stephen Thomas of Hurley, NY and Louella Handy (Joe) of Watseka, IL. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
