He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerald Smith and Mary Smith (Keeling); his brother Terry Smith; and his brother-in-law Richard Peters. He is survived by: his former wife Virginia Smith (Badger); his wife Shirley Anne; his children, Larry Dean Smith, David Smith, Lori Lyons, Mary Lee Stenstrom and Dorrine Gahan; his stepchildren, Tamara O'Brien and Timothy O'Brien; his grandson Dustin Tyler Smith; his fiancé Kaitley Davis; his stepgranddaughter Amber Durkin (Josh); and his great-nephew Colt Howe.
