It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph N. Nelson of Watseka, Illinois, born in Hoopeston, Illinois, who passed away on June 7, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Walter and Geneva Nelson (Moffatt). He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peg" Sollars; his children, Teresa Nelson (Jim Machun) of Grayslake, Matthew Nelson (Kimberly) of Parker, Alan Nelson (Julie) of Canon City, Paul Nelson (Joelle) of Watseka and William Nelson (Lesa) of Pinellas Park, Florida; and his siblings, Edith Baldwin of Hoopeston and Chris Nelson (Nancy) of Oswego. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Iroquois Memorial Hospice or the Watseka High School Athletic Department.
