He is survived by: his sons, Jerald Sherman of Watseka, Edwin Sherman of Helena and Kathryn Powell of Maquon; his stepsons, Jerry Simpson and Tom Simpson; and his sister Charlotte Booth of Yates City. He is also survived by grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren.
