Edward E. Johnson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward E. Johnson of Watseka, Illinois, who passed away on March 25, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Johnson and Loretta Johnson (Bear); his wife Norma Wieringa; his brother Louis; his sister-in-law June Johnson; his sisters, Shirley (Louis Newbury) and Alice (Leo Grabow); and his brothers-in-law, Frank Redman, Burgess Stone and Gordon Heck.
He is survived by: his children, Gloria Haste (Ivan) of Donovan, Bruce Johnson (Lucinda) of Bismarck and Tim Johnson (Sherry) of Sheldon; his sisters, Delores Redman of Watseka and Rose Mae Stone of Pensacola, Florida; and his brother-in-law Richard Boomgarden (Susie) of Watseka. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; many step great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Baier Funeral Home (102 W Oak St, Watseka, IL 60970). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 1:45 PM at the Sheldon Cemetery (1700 N 3000 East Rd, Sheldon, IL 60966).
Memorials may be made to the Sheldon Church of Christ or the Watseka American Legion Post 23.
