With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Delmar Gillespie of Watseka, Illinois, born in Percy, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 13, 2024 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his parents, Glover Gillespie and Grace Rednour (Brown); and his siblings, Roy Gillespie and Margaret Allen. He is survived by: his wife Maria Elena Gillespie of Watseka; his children, Dorothy Ramon, John Gillespie (Julie), Alvin Gillespie, Allida Hernandez (Julio), Romer Gillespie, Burl Gillespie, Magali Gillespie and Delmar Gillespie Jr.; and his siblings, Glover Gillespie and Sharon Parks. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
