He was predeceased by: his parents, Keith North and Erline North; his wife Dixie North; his son-in-law Paul Johnson; his brother Ron North; his siblings-in-law, Kenneth Johnson, Roy Todd and Ronda Todd; and his parent-in-law Harry.

He is survived by: his children, Laurie Johnson of Waterman, IL, Tony L. North II of Waterman, IL and Jennifer Russell (Brad) of Waterman, IL; his grandchildren, Joel Johnson, Jacob Johnson (Amanda), Ariel, Madison and Cameron Russell; his sister Cindy Ferris (Bob) of Colorado; his sisters-in-law, Della Mae North of Florida and Susan Johnson of Wisconsin; his brother Tom Houghtby; and his sister-in-law Connie Houghtby of Shabbona, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
