He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed and Helen; his siblings, Jacqueline Kokes and Donald McGava; his nieces, Juanita McGava, Karen Kokes, Tracee McGava and Angela Martz; and his nephew Alex Ziembiec.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Joseph McGava, Jr. (Terri) and Thomas Matthew McGava (Sonja) of Millington, IL; his siblings, Mary Martz of Marysville, WA, Margaret "Peg" Anderson of Plano, IL and John Arthur McGava (Sue) of LaSalle, IL; his grandchildren, Jessie, Joey, Peyton, Cora and Jameson; and his great grandchildren, Jake, Amelia, Macson, Merric and Mase.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 300 W Si Johnson Ave, Sheridan, IL 60551.
