He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Walter "Bud" Wittenauer (Millie); his former wife Carmaleta H Notter; his wife Frances M Meyer; his parents, Henry W Meyer and Minnie Meyer; his siblings, Edgar, Elmer, Arthur, Roy Meyer, Irene Banks, Esther Sickmeier, Vera Fisher, Alice Sickmeier and Rose Banks; and his grandson Todd Brand.
He is survived by: his children, Renee Melching (Stan), Kevin Meyer, Curt Meyer (Kellie) and Eric Meyer (Melissa); his stepchildren, Dennis Brand (Virginia), Shirley Stiening (Michael), Nancy Schanz (Kenneth), Allen Brand (Gina) and Janet Tessler (Tim); his grandchildren, Troy Melching (Kim), David, Caitlyn Meyer, Brittany Saffell (RJ), Patrick Meyer, Layne and Kloey Meyer; and his great grandchildren, Jordan, Bryce Melching, Mikayla, Iris, Vera Meyer, Makenna Saffell, Declan, Colten, Braxton and Gracelyn Meyer. He is also survived by 10 step grandchildren, 20 step great grandchildren, 1 step great-great grandson.
He was in many groups including: RSVP Volunteer, Waterloo Quadrille's, and member of St. Paul UCC, Floraville, IL.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorial contributions to: Floraville Church, Floraville, Illinois.
