He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry A. Brand and Leona E. Brand; his grandsons, Todd Allen Brand and Christopher Stiening; and his siblings, Robert, Floyd Brand and Joyce E. Koetting.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Brand (Virginia), Shirley Stiening (Michael), Nancy Schanz (Kenneth), Allen Brand (Gina) and Janet Tessler (Tim); his grandchildren, Chad Stiening (Amelia), Rhonda Major (Eric), Angie Filipiak (Jeff), Denise Buettner (Jared Marshall), Brian Kaspr (Payton), Christa Wooten (Eddie), Andrew Brand (Andrea), Heather Brand and Steven Kasprzyk (Julie); and his stepgranddaughter Lorrie Naumann (John). He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to: St. Paul UCC - Floraville or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
