He was predeceased by: his former wife Linda Collmeyer; and his parents, Melvin Collmeyer and Irene Collmeyer. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen M. Collmeyer; his children, Andrea Kuergeleis (Wesley), Matthew Collmeyer (Lori) and Andrew Collmeyer (Mindy); his grandchildren, Noah, Max, Sydney, Jensyn, Chloe, Avery, Reece, Alison (Jeff), Melissa, Elizabeth (Drake) and Ben (Kendra); his great grandchild Tristan; his sister Helen Bisaga; and also Bill Bandy (Monica). He is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
