He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel and Rosalie; and his brother Wesley Kappler. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Kappler; his daughters, Melissa Smith (Stanley) of Waterloo, IL and Lisa Day of Waterloo, IL; his sisters, Janet Kappler of Fults, IL and Whitney Major (John) of Fults, IL; and his grandchildren, Cole Francis, Zach, Kallie Smith and Arabella Day.
