He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Heller and Clara C. Heller; his brother Paul; his granddaughter Caitlin Owens; his nephew Christopher Heller; and his brothers-in-law, Victor Kruse, Gilbert Seboldt and Glenn Sauerwein.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Heller; his children, Bruce Heller (Cindy) of Allen, TX, Rene Owens (Ken) of Belleville, IL and Craig Heller (Amy); his grandson Jason Heller (Jeanette) of Brooklyn, NY; his children, Ryan Heller (Sarah) of Allen, TX, Collin Heller (Sandra), Sawbridgeworth, England, Ross Owens (Caitlin) of La Grange, TX, Sarah Owens of Miami, FL, Jack Casey and Carson Heller; his great grandchildren, Adeline Heller, Rowan Heller, Ezekiel Owens, Stella Owens, Coen Heller and Brooks Heller; his niece Lisa Heller Orth; and his siblings-in-law, Ardell Kruse, Estelle Sauerwein, Helen Liefer, Ruth Heller and Paul Liefer. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
