He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene and Fern; his son Wayde Basse; and his siblings, Patricia Huffendick, Betty McCutcheon, Jim, Frank and Paul Basse.
He is survived by: his children, Yvonne Mays of Belleville, IL, Patti Mosbacher of Waterloo, IL and Greg Basse (Mary) of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
