He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Michels; his parents-in-law, Sylvester and Betty Poynor; and his niece Danielle Craft. He is survived by: his wife Patty Michels; his children, Misty Sharp, Richard Michels, Jr. (Sherena), Dustin Michels (Amanda) and Terrance Michels (Amanda); his grandchildren, Samatha Shannon (Nick), Tabatha Michels, Alex Michels, Zachary Michels, Hayden Michels, Seth Michels, Taylor Hoskin, Sunshine Sharp, Lila Hampson, Aubreigh Palmer, Lila Michels, Aidan Morgan, Jacob Joseph Michels, Patrick Sharp and Shayla Sharp; his great grandchildren, Lilyan Shannon, Celleste Shannon and Bellamy Shannon; his mother Barbara Michels; his siblings, Elfrieda Lloyd (Joe), Alfred Michels (Donna), Barb Hoselton, Marie Schlemmer (Bill), Betty Moll (John), Kathy Goodman (Kenny), Joe Michels (Debbie), Sue Stuart (Lou), John Michels (Toni), Debbie Blandford (Jeff) and Diane Lewis (Joe); and his close friend Kate Brauner. He is also survived by sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
