With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ray William Thiele of Waterloo, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ray William left this world on February 9, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Thiele and William H. Thiele; and his sisters, Dorothy Brandt and Marguerite Ann Brandt. He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Horvath (Joe) of Defiance, MO, Kimberly Hesterberg (Jim) of Waterloo and Scott Thiele (Sandra) of Durant, IA; his grandchildren, Collin Hesse (Rita) of Fenton, MO, Robyn Mohrmann of Columbia, IL, Erin Buckley (Tim) of Waterloo, IL, Justin Hesterberg of Dravosburg, PA and Lindsay Butler of Columbia, MO; his wife Gladys; and his brother Lee Kinney (Alicia). He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hope Christian Church (9273 Coach Stop Rd, Columbia, IL 62236).

As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions to: American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
