He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Louis Vincent and Bertha May Kite (Putman); his wife Cynthia Jones; his children, David Alger (Gena) of Waterloo, IL and Marcella Land (Chris) of Granite City, IL; his grandsons, David Alger of Benld, IL, Brandon Alger of Dupo, IL, Andrew Alger of Waterloo, IL and Christopher Land (Teresa) of Belleville, IL; his great grandchildren, Rylie and Noah; and his pets, Dixie and Gizmo.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Louis VA Medical Center - John Cochran Division, as a thank you to their entire team for the compassion and care shown to Eugene and his family during his time there.
