He was predeceased by: his son Jeffrey C. Hartmann; his parents, Paul Hartmann and Elizabeth Hartmann; and his brothers, Oliver, Gilbert, Paul Jr. and Richard Hartmann.
He is survived by: his wife Ardell Hartmann; his daughter Julie Upchurch (Scott); his grandson Michael Upchurch; his siblings, Freeman Hartmann (Nancy), Don Hartmann (Shirley), Elizabeth Phegley (Karl) and Vera Lee Kern (Kenneth); and his uncle Albert Guebert (Viola). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, & cousins.
