It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Sondag of Waterloo, Illinois, born in Valmeyer, Illinois, who passed away on March 1, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn L. Sondag; his parents, Armin C. Sondag and Zoe A. Sondag; his siblings, Helen Sondag, Theodore Sondag and Glennon Sondag (Caryl); his siblings-in-law, James May, Paul Vogt (Evelyn) and Leone Jung (Eugene); and his son-in-law James Dillenberger.
He is survived by: his children, JoLynn Winer (Warren), Susan Dillenberger, Angela Siburt (Gary), Julie Muertz and Karen Limestall (Scott); his grandchildren, Adam Winer (Laura), Lauren Cann (Patrick), Chad Dillenberger (Katie), Tracy Moore (Cale), Timothy Brown (Dawn), Jason Siburt (Courtney), Cole Siburt (Angie), Neil Siburt (Alaina), Alex Muertz (Heather Mestdagh), Emily Muertz (Tom Falkiner), Evan Muertz (Victoria Gutierrez), Joel Limestall (Jaci Jenkins) and Bailey Limestall; his sister Marjorie May; his sister-in-law Pauline Sondag; his brother Glenn; and his nephews, Doug and Pat Sondag. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; and cousins.
As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to: St. Mary's Catholic Church – Valmeyer or as the family wishes.
