He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam and Emma M.; his former wife Mary Ann "Marie" Eckart; his grandchildren, Megan Wetzler and Bradley Marquardt; and his siblings, Edmund Eckart and Emma Haudrich (Cyril).
He is survived by: his wife Irene M. Eckart; his children, Renee Riebeling, Rodney Eckart (Debbie), Rose Marquardt (Randy), Robin Wetzler (Randy) and Rebecca Clark (Joe); his grandchildren, Tim Buckley (Erin), Tom Buckley, Andy Buckley (Amy), Angie Staub (Beau), Brian Eckart (Shannon), Candace Eckart (Enrique Rodriguez), Adam Eckart, Brandy Kyle (Brian), Kristen Marquardt, Brett Marquardt (Ashley), Michelle Wetzler Wild (Kyle Wild), Jessy Horrell (Henry), Alex Clark and Augie Clark; his stepchildren, Zeno Birkner, Stephen Birkner (Cindy), Mark Birkner (Sherri), Sue Bennett (Frank), Joe Birkner (Michelle), June Williams, Ben Birkner, Ceclia Metalski, Christine Snodgrass (Phil), Henry "Hank" Birkner, Lisa DeWitt (Andy) and Eric Birkner; and his siblings-in-law, Esther Eckart and Emil Reheis (Mary). He is also survived by many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
