Ellen M. Mantz Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ellen M. Mantz of Waterloo, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on January 4, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Gene Mantz, Sr.; her son Donald Gene Mantz, Jr. (Susie); her grandson Darryl T Mantz; her parents, Frank Sindel and Pearl Helmbacher; her stepfather Charlie Helmbacher; her siblings, Gloria Sindel, Melva Dot Peart (George), Frank Sindel (Virginia), Kenny Sindel (Dot) and Marvin Sindel (Catherine); and her in-laws, Roscoe Bud Mantz, Bob Mantz (Lupe), Dave Dickerson (Norma) and Jim Mantz (Jackie).
She is survived by: her children, Darlene Ehrhard (Rick) and Kevin Mantz (Lora); her sisters-in-law, Juanita Mantz and Carol Riggs; her grandchildren, Dal (Christine), Jennifer (Brian), Scott (Kristi), Kyle and Daren (Mary); and her great grandchildren, Kaleigh, Drake, Ella, Madison, Reese, Olivia, Darryl Jr., Emerson, River, Wyatt and Harrison.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Braun Family Funeral Home (265 Quarry Rd, Columbia, IL 62236). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
