With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Danny L. Asbury (Waterloo, Illinois), born in Rockwood, Illinois, who passed away on May 28, 2020 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Janet R. Asbury; his parents, Albert and Thelma; and his siblings, Albert "Phillip" Asbury, Esther Orndoff and Ethel Hagee.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn McCormick (Gary) of Columbia, IL and Robin Spurgeon (Brian) of Virginia Beach, VA; his sister Patricia Young (Gerald) of Waterloo, IL; his grandchildren, Kristin Harvell (Scott) of Hartselle, AL, Alexandra Gillespie (Logan) of Prairie Village, KS, Reed Spurgeon of Columbia, IL and Wyatt Spurgeon of Memphis, TN; his great grandchildren, Kennedy Grace, Piper Rose and Liam Thomas; and his close friends, June Chartrand, Roger and Phyllis Spurgeon.
