He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Morrissett and June Morrissett; his siblings, Stanley, Wallace Morrissett and Saundra Gullett; and his former wife Mary Morrissett.

He is survived by: his wife Loretta M. Morrissett; his children, Phyllis Hockenberry (John), Gary Morrissett (Lana), Julia Hammontree (James), Janet Duffy (Tim) and Bryan Morrissett; his grandchildren, Joshua Tolen, Amanda Stucky (Robert), Jamie Gaurmer (Zachary), Samuel Chavez, Joe Viscuso, Raechel Morrissett, James Hammontree Jr., Benjamin Morrissett and Madeline Morrissett; and his brothers-in-law, Ellery Hawkins and Paul Gullett. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions to: SS Peter & Paul Church or SS Peter & Paul School.
