He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Stitzel and Estelle Stitzel; his siblings, Irma Selz, Mary Bauer, Norman and Gene Stitzel; and his siblings-in-law, Monica Hitzeman, Florence Stitzel and Richard Hitzemann.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Stitzel; his children, Jean Byford (Ron) and Wayne Stitzel (Sherry); his grandchildren, Whitney Stitzel (Ben), Vanessa Smothers (Lucas) and Garrett Stitzel; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Stitzel, Judy Hitzemann, Edna Mae McDaniels and Marvin Hitzemann. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; and cousins.
