In loving memory of Arthur A. Stitzel of Waterloo, Illinois, born in Edgar Springs, Missouri, who departed this world on December 12, 2024 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Stitzel and Estelle Stitzel; his siblings, Irma Selz, Mary Bauer, Norman and Gene Stitzel; and his siblings-in-law, Monica Hitzeman, Florence Stitzel and Richard Hitzemann.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Stitzel; his children, Jean Byford (Ron) and Wayne Stitzel (Sherry); his grandchildren, Whitney Stitzel (Ben), Vanessa Smothers (Lucas) and Garrett Stitzel; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Stitzel, Judy Hitzemann, Edna Mae McDaniels and Marvin Hitzemann. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Quernheim Funeral Home West 1st (800 S Market St, Waterloo, IL 62298). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Quernheim Funeral Home (800 S Market St, Waterloo, IL 62298).
