Bette Lou Nelson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bette Lou Nelson of Wataga, Illinois, born in Galesburg, Illinois, who passed away on July 23, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Emstrom and Bessie Emstrom (Anderson); her former husband Larry Packingham; her spouse Gene Nelson; and her brother Dwight Emstrom.
She is survived by: her children, Brian Packingham of Kirkwood and Heidi Fuhr (Brian) of Silvis; and her stepchildren, David Nelson (Chris) of Rio, Lori Weaver (Tom) of Blaine and Diann Finley (Mike) of Glenview. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a nephew and two nieces.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
