It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Mantle Sr. (Washington, Illinois), born in Bonnots Mill, Missouri, who passed away on September 17, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Leo and Eva Neola Sieg Mantle; and his siblings, Herman and Alma Jane. He is survived by: his wife Nora Mae Sherrill; his sons, Bill (Sandy) of Washington, Jeff (Lisa) of Virginia, Rod of Washington and Jason (Margot) of Worden; his grandchildren, Mickie, Zach (Stephanie), Jessica, Jamie, Cassandra, Jacob (Emily) and Caleb (Kristen); his great grandchildren, Arabella, Jericho, Avery, Harlow, Olivia and Malachi; and his sister Dixie Schlossler of Roanoke.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Bill's mother or St. Jude.
