He is survived by: his parents, William J. and Sarah G. Merdian Volk; his spouse Virginia M. Berry; his daughter Mary Volk; his siblings, Louis, Cletus, Rita Koch, Esther Pomeranke and Theresa Stroud; his sons, Chuck Volk of Bradenton, FL, Don Volk (Bobbi) and Jerry Volk (Judy); his grandchildren, Zoe Volk, Libby Volk and Max Volk; and his stepgrandchildren, Jim Stout and Nicki Kroeger.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be given to St. Patrick Catholic Church or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
