He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Burns and Beverly Burns (Ashby); his son Robert Lee Burns; and his brother Russ Burns. He is survived by: his son Joe Knollenberg of Washington; his sister Sandy Backes (Dave) of East Peoria, IL; his uncle Steve Burns (Rose) of The Villages, FL; his aunt Pamela Garant of Punta Gorda, FL; and his granddaughters, Ariana Horton, Alexis, Alyson and Aubrey Knollenberg. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
