He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Fontana and Jenny Fontana (Maccanelli); and his brother Richard Fontana. He is survived by: his wife Judy Vernon; his children, Lisa Scott (Joe) of Atlanta, Georgia, Lesley Godby (Charlie) of Germantown Hills, Illinois and Joseph Fontana (Michelle) of Peoria, Illinois; and his grandchildren, Karley Scott, Katy Scott-McElhaney, Sydney Godby, Grace Godby, Brooke Godby, Lucas Fontana, Ava Fontana and Giana Fontana.
