He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Alessi and Lilly Alessi; his wife Barb (Westlake); his sons, Richard and Ronald; and his siblings-in-law, Ray Swada, Bernard, Alfred Westlake, Louis Buehler, Joan and Carol Westlake.
He is survived by: his children, Tony Alessi (Lilia) of Severn, MD, Janet Alessi (Bob), Cathy Alessi-Hausenbauer (Joe) of Thousand Oaks, CA and Steve Alessi (Donna) of Washington, IL; his daughter-in-law Susan Alessi of Colorado Springs, CO; his grandchildren, David Alessi (Sarah), Dominick Alessi (Tiffany), Rachel Alessi, Alyssa Cuellar, Indy Cuellar (Nikki), Andrew Marrer, Sarah, Daniel and Thomas Alessi-Hausenbauer; his great grandchildren, Carter, Margot, Ainsley, Capri, Sofia, Andres, Mila, Bailey, Bloom, Elijah and Lola; and his sisters, Shirley Swada and Mary Fain (Bob).
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (705 E Jefferson St, Washington, IL 61571). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Center for Prevention of Abuse of Peoria.
