He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Brinker and May Vlach Brinker; his daughter Jennifer Lynne Bennett; and his brother Russ. He is survived by: his wife Lynne Faubel; and his sons, Brett Brinker (Kathy) and Brian Brinker (Lynn). He is also survived by five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
