He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Grogg and Hazel Arning Grogg; and his brother Richard "Dick" Grogg. He is survived by: his daughters, Erin Painter (Matt) of Lexington, IL, Alesha Roy (Jerry) of Mackinaw, IL, Randi Lulay (Mike) of Wahington and Jessica Vander Molen (Nick) of Warsaw, IN.; his siblings, Dellis Grogg (Gwen) of Washington and Hope Elbert (Rocky) of Metamora; his stepsiblings, Susan Cowser of Peoria, Kathy Kempton of California and Dave Grogg; and his sister-in-law Jennifer Grogg. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
