She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dorthey Robinson Shelton and Jesse C. Shelton, Sr.; her brother Jesse C. Shelton Jr.; her sons, Chad Poore and Sean Poore (Melanie); her grandson Adam Poore; her sister Deborah Heller; her niece Tonya Higdon (Ritchie); her nephew Steven Heller; her great-nephew Dylan Cox; and also Riley Cox.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Easter Seals or St. Jude.
